Country Fest continued despite

the rain.

After many unavoidable delays, Ronnie Prophet took the secondary stage at 7:00, followed by Shane Yellowbird.

George Canyon finished off the night on the main stage, dumping his guitar of water frequently.

We take this opportunity to apologize to our patrons for the weather delays. Rain was not the only issue - the show was delayed due to lightning. The main stage was metal and 50' in height making it a giant lightning rod. For this reason we moved Ronnie and Shane to the wooden secondary stage. George took the main stage once the lightning had subsided and the show completed as scheduled! Thank you to Ronnie, Shane and George for playing in some difficult conditions and most importantly, thank you to all those in attendance that endured the heavy rain - all day! In an attempt to ensure everyone knew what was happening KT announced several times from the secondary stage of the delays and confirmed in fact, the show was still on. Thank you to Big Mike of the Smooth Ride for taking time away from the Fest to let folks know the show was continuing by live broadcast from 9:00pm until 9:45pm.

We have a winner for the 2008 Dodge Caliber - Ticket number 2421, purchased from CJTK in Sudbury. The lucky winner resides in Lively.
