“Hello KT

Russell of Prairie Oyster just stopped by. He said the fest
is a class act-event. Loved the accoms, the staff, the tech people. Also specifically said you were great. He'd love to come back next year.”

“Hi Debbie,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, and I appreciate the efficiency of everyone at the station.

Please give my best to both Kelly and Craig. Carroll and I have not been able to stop singing their praises to anyone who will listen. What was accomplished and done in such a professional way in such a short time, is absolutely phenomenal. They, along with the contributions of everyone involved made the festival without a doubt the best first time ever Canadian event we have attended, and that says a lot because we have been around for so long.

All the best to you Debbie, and thanks so much,”

Carroll Bakers Manager

I sure heard a lot of wonderful feedback about the event though! Really positive feedback! How did you feel about it for a first time out? One other consideration....4 of the people from the station who went said they really weren't country music fans and were apprehensive, but upon their return, they said, you don';t have to be a country music fan to enjoy the music that was presented. It was all excellent. The word 'country' sometimes conjures up images that are far from reality!
Thanks again.

“I would like to compliment 100.7 radio on the terrific Country Fest this past Saturday.

It was a job well done.  The entertainment you managed to bring in was an awesome combo.  They all genuinely portrayed that they were truly glad to be there on the Island for this event.  I was impressed with the on-time schedule.  It is too bad the public did not realize the value of the ticket cost.  Even though, I had a VIP pass, I have been to other concerts where you pay $45 for one 2 hour show, so the $50 was not out of line.  I hope the word gets out how great the CountryFest was and that those who did not attend, missed a great show and day's outing.   The shuttle service was a good idea, making the parking lot nightmare non-existent.  Pick up and drop off at the door, what more could anyone ask for.

The number of Port- a- Potties was very much appreciated and the sanitary conditions of them was well maintained. Wash basin set up was a hit.
We are looking forward to dealing with 100.7 for other
occasions.

The staff at 100.7 and volunteers did all the hard work and deserve all the pats on the backs for a terrific day!!”

Hello 100.7 (K T, Craig and Debbie),

Dave  from Prairie Oyster here. Thanks so much for a great day / weekend! Your Countryfest event was terrific! It was very well organized, very well volunteered, very well planned and scheduled, a terrific venue and the attention to detail you guys showed and applied was second to none.

The entertainers were so well taken care of and it showed by the smiles on their faces and by your constant stopping by to check up on them. A negative word was not heard anywhere by me or anyone associated with the band and that's a compliment to all of you.

If next years festival is better than this years... then you guys are headed for one hell of a show. Good things happen to good people and you folks up there are "good people". Great hospitality, nice town, terrific show!

Congrats on a job well done, I hope you all are happy with what transpired that day. You should be proud!

“To The Island FM radio station management and staff:

Just wanted to say thanks and commend you very much for your great Country Fest on Saturday.   It was just GREAT!!

We found it to be very well organized and well done.  From our own Square Dance Jamboree's I'm sure that there was a few hairy moments behind the scenes but from our perspective it all flowed very smoothly.

I congratulate you on having the students go around and pick up the garbage- I know some people just walked off and left it but on the whole it was kept nice and clean.

Again, our thanks and hope you can have another one next year.”

“I just wanted to drop a note to let you know what an awesome job you did. The music was superb, the vendors were great and the organization was topnotch- it is hard to believe that was the first time you have done this- you have a great group of people who obviously work well together.  I am looking forward to next year and have heard nothing but positive feedback from other people that attended
Good Job”

“Good Morning!

I just wanted to drop a line and tell you how much we enjoyed the festival on Saturday.  If we had to pick something negative it would have been that it was so hellishly hot, but hey that's way way better than being cold or rainy so you can't even count that as a negative.
Keep up the great work.  We wish we could get your station down here in Parry Sound.  We really hope that yous will be able to have a 2 or 3 day festival next year with camping as well.  Your station needs to be commended for a great job well done.  the organization was superb. Also kudos to the town for letting yous use Low Island for your venue.”

“Had to email you and tell you all what a great time my daughters and I had at the Countryfest on Saturday.  I can't even begin to imagine all the time and effort that went into this endeavor, but I can sure tell you how much three chicks from Mindemoya enjoyed themselves and appreciated all of the hard work.

The performers were awesome and gracious with their time, the volunteers were helpful and plentiful, and Mother Nature was kind enough to wait until Sunday to open her skies.  What more can one ask for?

Kudos to one and all !!”

“The whole day at Country Fest was awesome.....my girls had a great time and it was nice to spend the day as a family doing something we all enjoy.  Looking forward to next years event and the girls say they are buying their tickets in January !!!!!”

Hey Guy's; I just wanted to tell you all that I know just how much work has to go in to putting on an event like Country Fest, and want to say Thank You Very Much. It sure looks like this will become a main attraction for The Big Isle from now on.

Congratulations’

Bernie

It was great. 4 girls from South bay mouth area went and had lots of fun. looking forward to next years it was well worth the 50 bucks. also it sure was nice to go to the outhouses they were very clean and smelt good  most events are dirty this one was very  well organized . Sharlene

Hey guys, what an awesome job. Already exited and anticipating the 2008 country fest. I do have one suggestion though, I know it would be an added expense but I would have loved to have had a t-shirt that had a 100.7  or country fest logo with the year and list of performers of the 2007 country fest as a keepsake. I did buy a manitoulin rocks t-shirt and got it signed by all the artists which is great. I'm still smiling that's how much fun I had. To everyone who helped put everything together, Thank-you sooooooooo much for all your hard work, It sure payed off.

Anticipating next year

Sincerely,

Helen
